I've got mail

As a bonus for subscribing to Burda WOF - Romanian version, I got the Burda supplement containing designer patterns (Burda Exclusiv Designer-Schnitte).

It contains the following patterns:

A top and skirt by Tristano Onofri

A suit by Orwell:

A trenchcoat and dress by Bogner

A trenchcoat by Aigner

Men's sportswear by Pal Zileri

And a gorgeous tuxedo jacket by Karl Lagerfeld

What's really nice is that the patterns come separately in a cardboard folder and they are ready to cut/trace, just like Big4 patterns or other patterns and not like the patterns in Burda WOF, where several different patterns are printed on the same sheet.

Wow!!! Great patterns!!! I wish I could get those!

Yes, great patterns aren't they. I'm already thinking of making the Zileri jacket for my husband.
Tany, I'd be happy to trace a pattern for you and send it by mail. Just tell me what you like and what size you are in Burda.

It'd be great to have a tux jacket!

Actually, Dawn, I'll try to make time and sew this tux jacket for my sister. She lives in Sweden now, I miss her very much and this jacket has her name written all over :)
I have the perfect black elastic satin for that, I need some elastic suiting for the rest of the jacket.

Oh Wow! I wish that the American subscribers could get those! That tux jacket is to die for!

Summerset, the offer made to Tany stands for you too. If you tell me your Burda size and email me (my email is in my profile) your postal address, I'd be happy to trace the tux pattern and send it to you!

Very nice patterns. Now we are all jealous!

Laura, thanks for sharing these. But I can see you "need" more patterns from your story board!! But how fun to decide!

What a find! I wonder, do they do the same for their American subscribers? I am rather covetous of the white suit. I love the zipper and the topstitching detail with the wide lapels. Gorgeous! As an aside, I have been meaning to ask you about the satin bias tape you use so frequently and to such advantage. Where do you get it? I have never seen it in any stores or through any web searches. Please, tell me more?

These are great patterns, and to have them sent to you for free!
Just found this information on their site: http://www.burdamode.com/07._Sep._05:_burda_Designer-Schnitte,1000001-1014663-1158545-1158554-1249965,deDE.html

It's in German but it says that this title is new and available in the shops from September 7 (today!). I guess in Germany first, but I assume other countries will have this magazine too.

Hi, Sigrid!
Thank you for the link, but, unhappily, it is incomplete. Or I don't see it for some reason (browser settings??). If this exclusive edition of Burda is published regularly, I'd be very interested to buy it! Especially since the Romanian version of Burda doesn't have that monthly designer pattern in it. I don't know why!!!

Laura, I saw it and was also browsing a bit further. The Original link I posted is:
http://www.burdamode.com/07._Sep._05:_burda_Designer-Schnitte,1000001-1014663-1158545-1158554-1249965,deDE.html

But then I found this:
http://www.burdamode.com/burda_EXCLUSIV_Designer-Schnitte,1000003-1276382,deDE.html

It's not the same magazine as you have. Perhaps you have an earlier version.

Ok, apparently blogger cuts of the links. I'll post a link on my blog.

Hi, Cherie and Rosanne!
Indeed, Cherie, I need another pattern like a nail in my toe :)) That issue is spectacular, I must sew that tux for my sister... Maybe as a Christmas gift. I know she would absolutely love it. I wonder however about the shoulders, they do seem very prominent and she's even smaller than me!
Rosanne, I buy the satin bias tape in notion shops here in Romania. I don't know where it comes from (what country I mean). Unhappily the supply here is varying a lot, sometimes I find plenty of beautiful colours, other times I find nothing at all :((

I *really* hope we're getting this one in the States.
