The man who changed my life...

... and my sleep pattern. The little guy is still waking a lot at night.

I will try, I promise, to write a bit more, but I don't know when. My days and hands are full with the little guy who's far from being a good sleeper and is teething canines right now.
I miss you all. And I miss sewing so bad that I'm dreaming about it at night :)

Laura, I am so excited for you. Somehow I missed your previous two posts. I've been a bit busy making a baby myself lately, sleep eludes me, and it's harder to blog, as you know. I've been doing updates on my pregnancy, though, and only a little sewing. It's funny, I was just thinking about you this morning, not even knowing that you had posted, wondering how you were doing and what was keeping you away for so long and hoping you were okay. So I am so relieved and thrilled to hear your good news.

Enjoy your little man. I'm looking forward to my new little one. She's due in seven or eight weeks. She is No. 6 for us. Our oldest is 22 and just graduated from college. Life is busy. Take care. And I look forward to when you can post again.

I forgot to mention how adorable the new man in your life is.

Congratulations on your beautiful baby boy! What a sweet little guy he is. No wonder you haven't been sewing. Don't worry, you'll squeeze in time for it again, but don't rush it. Just enjoy every single minute that you and your husband have with your son. Sewing can wait. :)

Your boy looks beautiful. Sewing won't go away but you never get this time with your child again. Enjoy it as it goes so quickly. Last week my boy was like yours; this week he is seven. I love having a boy!

Laura - thanks so much for sharing the pics of your gorgeous little man! There is a time for everything and this time with him goes so fast (tho I'm sure it doesn't feel that way during those sleepless nights!) We will all be here waiting for you to come back to your sewing machine...and totally understand why you are away from it! Enjoy him he truly is beautiful!

He is beautiful.
I found it is too hard to try to manage both when they are so little. He won't be so little always.
Sewing can wait just a little longer.

What an adorable little guy! And don't worry about your blog - really spending time with him is WAY more important. I hope he starts to sleep better for you soon.

Holy cats, you two made an adorable baby! Hope you enjoy the heck out of him, but find some time to sew for yourself. :)

So glad to hear from you! I was worried, hoping that you were OK, since you hadn't posted in a long time. You both are so lucky to have this sweet child. Take your time getting to your sewing machine for garment making. Perhaps you can make something a little bit at a time that doesn't need fitting, such as a purse or hat, or something for your little one. Even a bit of hand sewing, or maybe a small embroidery piece might be relaxing, a few minutes at at time, as it wouldn't be a big sewing project. I'm a mom of two grown sons, and grandmother of a wonderful granddaughter! So lucky am I!

I couldn't believe how all time consuming a baby could be when I had my first (28 years ago), but they surely are.
Your little guy is adorable and believe me, sewing supplies and fabrics etc...are not going to disappear any time soon. The day will come when you'll be able to ease yourself back into it. And a wonderful thing about sewing for kids is; there are virtually no fitting issues and you can really zip out some fun stuff for them!

Has it really been over a year since Matei was born?. He is so cute. I know what it is to be sleep deprived because of a little one. But it will pass. They grow up so fast.

According to the "Map the Sewintists" you are now in Brussels. Can this be true? Can we organise a Brussels sewing meet up?
